Privacy Policy for LLM AI Charts (part of the BI-Champ visuals suite)
Revised: 6/24/2026
At CodeX Enterprises LLC ("CodeX", "we", "us", "our") (doing business as "BI-Champ" and "bizintelligencechampions.com" and "Biz Intelligence Champions"), we appreciate your use of and contributions to our websites and products (collectively known as the "services", "service"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This is our privacy policy specifically for the product "LLM AI Charts", a Power BI Control (part of the BI-Champ visuals suite), (the "Product") and its terms are in addition to our base privacy policy. Where there is any conflict with the base policy, the visual-specific policy applies. This covers the product's usage and licensing through AppSource or any other means.
If you have questions or concerns regarding this privacy policy, you can contact us at info@bizintelligencechampions.com.
1. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
This Product (LLM AI Charts) processes data you configure it to share with third-party large language models (LLMs). By default, requests are routed to one or more third-party LLM services (which may in turn dispatch to upstream model providers); the specific services and routing are a backend implementation detail and may change at any time. You may additionally configure a "Bring-Your-Own" (BYO) connection — your own API key against your own provider account (e.g., your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI account) — in which case requests flow directly to your chosen provider under your contract with them. The Product is not intended for personally identifiable information (PII), classified information, or regulated data (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, GDPR special categories); avoid or obfuscate such fields before they enter your Power BI dataset. Any data rendered within the visual is based on what you have elected to include in your Power BI report.
What is sent to the LLM for code generation is governed by the visual's "Privacy Level" setting, which ranges from column names only, up through column statistics, up to a small obfuscated data sample. At the default level the following may be transmitted to the LLM provider:
- Dataset shape: column names, data types, and aggregate statistics (e.g., distinct count, blank count, min/max, mean, standard deviation, modal share). Your actual category values are obfuscated, apart from limited exceptions required so the chart can label and order itself correctly.
- Any commentary or per-field descriptions you have entered into the visual's settings, verbatim. (These are not sent on freemium requests.)
- At the highest privacy level only, a small sample of dataset rows with non-numeric values obfuscated. We do not promise this obfuscation is irreversible against a determined attempt; do not place secrets in your data.
Your data is rendered locally. The LLM produces only the chart code; that code then runs inside the visual, in your browser, against your full dataset — which is not transmitted to us or to the LLM provider. Once a chart has been generated, it can re-render from the code cached in your saved report without sending your data again. If you enable "Save Thumbnails" (off by default), a rendered image of the chart is uploaded to bizintelligencechampions.com for use as a preview; because it is a picture of the chart, it may contain values shown on the chart.
In hosted (non-BYO) mode, the upstream provider's policies apply. For Microsoft Azure AI Foundry models:
- Prompts and outputs are not used for training by Microsoft or accessible to other customers.
- Prompts may be temporarily stored and reviewed by Microsoft only if flagged for abuse or misuse.
When LLM AI Charts communicates with our web services, information such as license or freemium keys, model selection, request shape, and feature usage passes through to our infrastructure. We log activity (request metadata, the LLM-generated code, runtime outcomes, error stack traces, IP address, and per-instance freemium usage counters) to diagnose issues, reconcile billing, and improve our services. This logging is managed by bizintelligencechampions.com, is retained on servers in the United States, and is not used for model training or accessible to other customers or partners.
The Product offers two access modes:
- Freemium — a no-account trial mode with a per-instance usage budget. No Biz Intelligence Champions account is required; a signed freemium key uniquely identifies the visual instance and tracks its cumulative consumption against the budget.
- Organizational ("site") license — purchased through your Biz Intelligence Champions account, which collects some personal data. Use of that Account is governed by our general privacy policy, which you can find here.
License keys we generate are non-identifiable to you or your organization, although you will need to provide a licensee name to associate with the license keys. These are stored locally in your Power BI report's visual settings. We encourage you to use the additional Client Secret Key as described on the Learn page.
When BYO mode is configured, the BYO API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI) is stored in your Biz Intelligence Champions account record on our servers, encrypted at rest. We use it solely to authenticate requests to your chosen provider on your behalf; you remain responsible for the provider account itself, including key rotation, usage controls, and provider-side billing.
2. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY AGREEMENT
CodeX reserves the right to update and/or change the terms of our privacy policy, and as such we will post those changes to our website, so that our users and/or visitors are always aware of the type of information we collect, how it will be used, and under what circumstances, if any, we may disclose such information. If at any point in time CodeX decides to make use of any personally identifiable information on file, in a manner vastly different from that which was stated when this information was initially collected, the user or users shall be promptly notified by email.
3. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Through the use of this Product, you are hereby accepting the terms and conditions stipulated within the aforementioned Privacy Policy Agreement. If you are not in agreement with our terms and conditions, then you should refrain from further use of the Product. In addition, your continued use of this Product following the posting of any updates or changes to our terms and conditions shall mean that you are in agreement and acceptance of such changes.
